About Me
Within the contemporary art scene, Sergey Ivchenko presents himself as an extraordinary and noteworthy painter, who does not involve himself in the common styles of outline or abstract expressions.
Instead, he paints his medieval-style figures in an exceptionally acribic fashion, using extra fine brushes on variety of surfaces from wood and canvas. Doing so, he maintains a certain sense of humor.
As a result, we get astonishing pictures in small format. Their themes is anywhere between the world of fairy and traditional country images. Their style generates a fascinating floating state somewhere between medieval festivals and Russian icons.
